Background

David Brown’s business career was mainly in Computer Services at CMG Ltd. specializing in the mechanisation of London Insurance Market and he became Managing Director of the CMG Data Processing Bureau. Later Dave became a director of Swallow Computer Services and he opened and developed their business in Boston Massachusetts. He now has many local business interests including a directorship of Duaris Ltd, a building company

Shirley Cremin

Having been a Trustee for a number of years, I continue to assist Shirley Cremin in running the East Grinstead Sports Club Lotto .

Background

I am a Life Member of East Grinstead Cricket Club and have also been the Treasurer for a number of years. 
I was employed in the insurance business for all my working life, culminating in being a Lloyd’s  Non-Marine Underwriter.

Kevin Ellis

EGSC Treasurer, and the management of Freedom Leisure services contract.

Background

Kevin Ellis became a Trustee of the Charity in 2010. His son is a member of the hockey club, and his wife a regular netball player. He is a qualified actuary, and worked at a global actuarial consultancy for over 20 years, providing advice to several multinational businesses. More recently, he has moved into education, including helping trainee actuaries as they work towards their professional qualifications

Richard Leman

Development projects, patrons and NGB

Background

Richard Leman has been involved with the Sports Club since its creation in 1989 when the cricket and hockey clubs merged.  He has recently stepped down as Chairman and continues to take an active part in the Charity as a Trustee.
He is Chairman of two local recruitment businesses and takes an active part in the National Governing Bodies for Hockey in GB.  He is currently the President of Great Britain Hockey and a Board member of the British Olympic Association. He also won an Olympic Bronze medal in 1984 and a Gold medal in 1988 with the British Hockey team.

Jeff Morris

Specific role as trustee

EGSC Chairman. Responsibilities include charity strategy and the management of Freedom Leisure services contract.

Background

Jeff business career included being one of the small executive team that transformed a failing, loss making, consulting engineering company, to a successful, floated and merged professional support services firm. He was also a director of the Major Projects Association and the Management Consultancy Association.  Earlier in his career, he was a Director in Coopers & Lybrand’s management consultancy. He is an MBA graduate of the London Business School.

Rebecca Thornley-Gibson

Legal aspects including constitution, membership and Freedom Leisure contract. Fund raising via Utility Warehouse agency agreement.

Background

Rebecca is a partner at asb law where she has spent her legal career and specialises in employment law.She has had a number of roles at asb including Director of Business Services with responsibility for the Employment,Corporate and Commercial teams and,Head of Employment. She has been a Board member since May 2011 at asb and now as Head of Travel for asb concentrates on the firm’s travel and aviation clients.
